Business History

Why Third Floor Studios was formed
  We were exhausted. Fed-up. Tired, tired, tired of seeing sites that missed the point entirely. Sites built without vision, planning and aesthetics as an afterthought. We knew we could do better, and we set out to show the world we could.

Essentially, we wanted to make the World Wide Web a better place. A place where content is still king, a place where function melds beautifully with form, and especially - a place where the user is the main focus. Building a site for anyone else doesn't work.

When was Third Floor Studios formed?
  Third Floor Studios was started in January of 2001 as a freelance design service. On October 15th, 2001 it became a full-time design & development studio.

Who is Third Floor Studios?
  Third Floor Studios is lead by Michael Twentyman, the President and Owner. Mr. Twentyman is a Cornell University Graduate with a BS in Communications, concentrating in Information Technology. Our balance of solid communication concepts, technical knowledge and design sense gives Third Floor Studios the competitive edge in a market with less comprehensive firms.
